 Inauguration of Anti-Narcotic Club 'VIMUKTHI-2021-2023'

            On 1st July 2022, a memorable inauguration event of the Anti- Narcotic club ‘VIMUKTHI’ was organized by IQAC & The VIMUKTHÍ club members. This event was 2 hours long and was held in the college General Hall. And both the students and faculty of various departments took part.

    The event commenced by the arrival of the chief Guest - Mr. A.C. Joseph (Excise preventive officer, VIMUKTHÍ state resource person) accompanied by Dr. Limsy John the principal of M.O.T. C and also Varghese Sir, Assistant progress in Education.

    The programme began with prayer. Then followed by a Welcome speech, given by Arjun.C.T (General Secretary & coordinator of Anti-narcotic club). followed by welcome Speech, the host of the evening, invited the principal to inaugurate the function by revealing the club logo . Then she emphasized the important role of the Anti-Narcotic club in educational Institutions.

    After the inauguration, the chief Guest Mr. Joseph sir, took the awareness class. He addressed the crowd by sharing bis personal experience. It make the content more relatable. He ensured his interaction with the Student were meaningful and spoke about his professional life experience and also told about the criminal sections related to drug bust and their details. He took the class in a very good manner without bothering at all. The objective of this programs is to prevent youth from using illicit drug by enhancing their awareness and understanding of the harmful social and health effect of illicit drug use.

         Around one hundred students participated in it. It is very helpful for the student in understanding the evil effect of drug abuse. The programme was concluded at 1:30 pm, followed by the felicitation by Athira (from commerce ) and a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Jithin. E.J (from Natural Science).
